Omschrijving

After a perilous journey, Souleymane has finally made it to Paris from Guinea. He manages to earn some money as a food delivery rider but is “sans papiers” and currently residing illegally in France. As he weaves through the bustling streets of Paris on his bike, he prepares for a critical interview with the immigration authorities—his only chance to secure legal papers. However, Souleymane is far from ready. For this decisive moment, he has memorized a persuasive story. The only thing is, it’s not his own story.

After the film there will be an aftertalk with Florimond Wassenaar. Florimond is a lawyer working in immigration and nationality law. Within the field of migration law, the focus of his practice is in the areas of nationality, national security, public order, immigration detention and family reunification. He provides legal assistance both through funded legal aid and also on a fee basis.
In addition to being a lawyer, Florimond is a lecturer at the training institute for social law, OSR. There he teaches courses on current affairs in immigration detention law and general regular immigration law.
