Omschrijving

Alleenstaande moeder Sandra (Nienke Plas) woont met haar dochters Harrie en Stella in Amsterdam en kan de eindjes maar net aan elkaar knopen. Als de onbetaalde rekeningen zich blijven opstapelen en ze beschuldigd wordt van fraude moet Sandra alle zeilen bijzetten om haar kinderen uit handen van de hulpverlening te houden. Dit gevecht tegen het systeem lijkt een onmogelijke opgave. Maar Sandra laat zich er niet onder krijgen. Altijd optimistisch is ze vastbesloten haar dochters de zomer van hun leven te geven.

Single mother Sandra (Nienke Plas) lives in Amsterdam with her daughters Harrie and Stella, struggling to make ends meet. As unpaid bills continue to pile up and she is accused of fraud, Sandra must do everything in her power to keep her children from being taken into care by social services. Her fight against the system seems like an impossible battle. But Sandra refuses to be defeated. Ever optimistic, she is determined to give her daughters the summer of their lives.
